Reader Portfolios
Welcome to the Reader Portfolios section, where you can submit your photo galleries and comment
on other people's galleries. A selection of the best photos are showcased as Photograph of the Day
or Mini Photograph of the Day by the Digital Camera team on the homepage.

User Guide
Our gallery technology is very powerful and flexible, so please familiarise yourself with the process and it will soon be second nature.
To submit your photo portfolios to this section:
- You need to be logged on as a site member, which you can do from this site's Home page - or click "Sign In" above the search box at the top of this page..
- Once you are signed in, you will be able to see "My Gallery" sidebar in the top right corner of this page.
- If you have already created your own gallery/galleries, you will see them listed in this sidebar. If you never created a gallery before, click the "Create my gallery" button.
- Once you are in your newly created gallery, on the right you see a box called "Common Tasks." Click "Add Picture"
You'll now see a form, "New Photo", that enables you to upload your pictures by clicking "Add" and giving them a subject and description.
- You have an upload limit of 16Mb.
- To delete pictures, click on the picture so it fills the screen. Go to your gallery, click on "control panel" in the "Common tasks" box on the right of the page, then click on "Manage Content" in the left hand side menu, then click "Photos", then next to the image you want to remove you hit the delete button.
- If you want to give a picture a star rating (the most popular images will appear on our home page) click to open that picture and you'll see five stars in the box on the right, under Statistics. Run your mouse cursor/pointer over the number of stars you want to give the picture, and then click. You can only score an individual picture once.
- For more advanced portfolio settings, go to the main Reader Portfolios page and click "Control Panel" in the "Common Tasks" box.
