    wendoureecat:

WAMT - Two weeks of splitting migraines where i couldnt even see my hand in front of my face let alone anything through the view finder to finally get rid of them and end up on crutches due to overtraining with weekly physio for i dont know how long. Am not very co-ordinated on them either so dont know how i will manage my camera and the crutches without either falling over, hitting an unexpecting passerby or goddess forbid dropping my camera Sad [:(]

    Kat

Sorry to hear about your migraines, as I used to have a girlfriend who suffered with them, so can imagine what you went throught. Hope you are back on your feet soon and taking lost of great shots. Big Smile [:D]

    Re: What annoyed you today?

Thanks guys for the thoughts. I have found out that some people should be banned from using crutches........me in particular........especially going down stairs. Luckily i had left the camera at home Big Smile [:D] so physio tomorrow and hopefully some stronger pain killers.

Oldboy- migraines are a right royal pain in the preverbial its easier if it is something specific that triggers them but unfortunately for me none of the normal things coincide with them. Positive side is that the kids are now hiding in their rooms scared to come out after my weeks of pain Wink [;)]

Re: What annoyed you today? One to Cheer you all up?

A MORAL TEST FOR ALL YOU PHOTOGRAPHERS ;-)

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision.

Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly reading each line and give due consideration to each line.

    THE SITUATION

You are in England , York to be specific.

There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding.

This is a flood of biblical proportions.

You are a photo-journalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless.

You're trying to shoot career-making photos.

There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing into the water.

Nature is unleashing all its destructive fury.

    THE TEST

Suddenly, you see a man in the water.

He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris..

You move closer... Somehow, the man looks familiar...
You suddenly realise who it is... It's Gordon Brown the Prime Minister! You noticed that the raging waters are about to take him under forever. You have two options:

You can save the life of Gordon Brown or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize-winning photo, documenting the death of one of the country's most powerful men!

    THE QUESTION

Here's the question, and please give an honest answer...

Would you select high contrast colour film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

    ;-)
    Cheers,
    Neil

Not quite sure what the point of his is.

But I think I would go for black and white.

Do you know something we don't???????????

Great one Neil.. I hadn't seen this one before and I love the way it moves away from morose to comedy at the end. My brother and I used to pose the same question to each other.. but we weren't talking about film choice of course.. Thanks for the memory. J

    Eyewest.

I'm glad someone got it :-)

Received from a friend via e-mail this evening - an actual philosopher interested in morals and ethics. Thought it was another serious one from him until I got to the very last line - hilarious :-)

As the subject included Gordon Brown - an instigator of much annoyance to others - and photography, I thought I'd post it.

Must have been too abstract :-)

    Cheers,
    Neil

    {moody young person rant}

My parents, who, with months advanced warning of me wanting to go out today, to a local hovercrafting event that I've been invited to by friends who are working for a team, still managed to disregard any thing I'd like to do, and I really don't ask them for a lot, and have decided to redecorate their bedroom.

First time I've asked them to take me anywhere in ages, and the first time I've wanted to go out with mates in literally years, and I'm completely shrugged off, cause they want to play with flatpack and sugar soap.

    Yippy for happy family life.
