Hi Cathus!  Thank you for your comment...but what do you mean by - I did it in a landscape mode?  He he he don't get that...I'm not a pro, so I just click and shot..

The shape of your shot, it's a rectangle with the longest side being the top and bottom, it should have had the longest  sides at the left & right. Like your avatar photo of yourself, that's portrait mode, turn it on it's side and it's landscape mode.

Guy, Congratulations on the win...Party!!! [<:o)] I went looking for a stairwell too but couldn't find one deep enough...it never occured to me to just PS more in. Good thinking.

David this was the actually view down the staircase from 100 metres up the Spinaker Tower. Only post work done was a slight crop and straightening. No extra stairs added.

Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone. Will hopefully post this weeks challenge tonight.

Some time soon I must get down to the Spinaker Tower, it's a great subject for photography. Well done on winning Guy, looking forward to this weekend's subject.

Sorry Guy...It wasn't ment as an accusation. It's just that after about four rows of steps the light changed and there seemed to be a fuzzy texture...I've just looked at the full size and it's just a grid or mesh to stop people throwing themselves off.Big Smile [:D] ......Oh right! you found a really deep stairwell...now that's cheatingBig Smile [:D] way to easy.

    Gill Maheu:

guyroberts – clever idea – how many shots did it take to get it right ? nicely framed – the focus is great too I have no idea how you managed to do that – top gun reflexes !

Thanks Gill - it took quite a few shots as most were blurred or not very nice. I laid on the ground whilst the wife threw the shoes into the air, the only thing to watch was where they landed, as it was usually on me!

    Cathus

    1. guyroberts – can't make my mind up about this one, not sure if it works on its own or whether another object in the frame would have given more of a sense of position/perspective. One show looks a lot sharper then the other.

Fair comment. I wanted to post this one but I thought it had to be portrait too:

    My new lightweight trainers

and there is motion blur on the left shoe.

Cheers and thanks for taking the time to critique both of you.Smile [:)]

    Congratulayions Guy, Very well deserved.

and thanx to cathus and Gill for the reviews.

the ducks were hanging over a second floor window ledge and shot from the ground pointing upwards. I think the perspective threw a few people.

    – first of all I thought that it wasn’t vertical – but it is definitely growing on me – there’s a real feeling of depth to it – where are the last 3 floors hiding ? I only get to 20

It's a bit tricky :) The second balcony is hidden by the trees on the first but you can see a plant sticking out where it is. One floor is were the open balconys stop and before the covered ones start. That floor does not have either and because of the angle the windows aren't visible. The last floor is the roof. There are penthouses and a pool up there :)
