    Ta very muchly Sandra,

It was supposed to be an RAF flypast at 19:00 sharp but actually turned into 3 RAF planes bumbling past at just after quarter past eight (ish) all on completely different flight paths and seemingly oblivious to each others presence.

This is one of the others:

    Penultimate Home

    Cheers, Peter.

Typical - can't trust the crabs.

Sounds the RAF's standard form (my brother is ex-RAF, so heard it many times LOL)

    Shadow.

Nice pics, work well with B&W conversion.

The first one: did you lighten the background? The grey foggy b\g contrasted with the rich dark black of the foreground and subject works really well giving an almost orginal old looking print effect to it. :-)

    Cheers,
    Neil

Thanks Neil.  I had to tweak the overall brightness down slightly (despite deliberately underexposing at the time due to the bright sun); the foggy/blurry effect was naturally down to the smoke - didn't matter where I walked around the arena I seemed to draw the wind round with me!

I think this might just squeeze in as transportation - although the river was too high to hire one!
