What's really really annoying is having a stinking cold because we're really really conscientous at work and go in when we have one to ensure its spread around fairly. So it's my turn ...all weekend....very little sleep...everything aches.....throat like sandpaper...and there's nothing you can do but ride it out. On the plus side I did have this afternoon off, and may just decide not to get up for work tomorrow either......and of course, if I was a man it would be flu and not just a cold

Reminds me of when I was working as a teacher. Parents send their kids in to school with any sort of disease.

"What's that blood coming out of little Johnnie's nose?"

"Oh, don't worry, it's just his Ebola flaring up again. I thought I'd send him in to school so that I can sit at home and watch TV while the teachers babysit for me"

Still, mustn't grumble. I'm not a teacher any more but god knows I respect anyone who is.....

My technology teacher has a picture of people being whipped and turning a thing (like the one that releases the craken on POTC) and then one guy says "This aint so bad, i use to be a teacher"

Just heard from the wife that she's been given a €150 fine for running a red light . They didn't bother to stop the BMW that went through after her and that had intimidated her across the stop line by riding a half meter from her rear bumper.

Of course

No, I know what its like to work in a shop, so I have more respect then most average customers. Having said that, some customers are nice, others dont get to much in the way (except from refusing to get out of the way in stupid situations (I.e. the other week. me moving a stocking cage in a gridlock situation, 1 person with a trolley blocking me from moving around a corner, and Ive got about 10 people behind me, so I say excuse me and the wont move, and then tell me to move. No chance, try handling a cage loaded with 360 ltrs of coke through crowds.)

Anyway, point is , I guess most of them are ok, its just the ones that talk to you usually treat you like something that came off the bottom of their shoe.

I had a pretty good day today. Apart from getting cornered by the boss because he found some delivery paperwork in the warehouse. If it had been mine I wouldnt have a problem, but ben does that stuff, I do the  zero inventory paperwork

WAMT? No post. This wouldn't matter normally but I'm owed about £570 by the local council in overpaid council tax and 6 months or so of income support which will prob work out to about £700. I was rather hoping it might turn up today as I'm £3 over my overdraft limit. And I've forgotton the pin for my credit card.

This means that, for the first time in about 15 years I have no money and no way of getting hold of any. Bummer

Washed/waxed my new car. Took it for a celebration drive. Road closure meant I had to take a load of tiny roads. Car now muddier than it was this morning.

They've changed the rules for the disabled person's railcard. Under the old rules I'd have been eligible for one from Monday and now I'm not.

Carpe Diem! Enjoy it while you can,  I won't be eligible for a reduced rate railcard for another couple of decades or so.

WAMT? Nothing so far. Christmas cake is in the oven, we're contemplating making some mince pies, fire is raging in the fireplace (and not on the kitchen stove as might be normal). Kids are being cute and cuddly.

Everything was going so well. Christmas tree bought and transported without destroying my new car, Christmas food+drink bought, tree decorated, lights up, tinsel up.

Then one of the lights fell down, knocked a wine bottle off a high shelf which then fell straight through my beautiful crystal port decanter, shattering it into a million pieces. It was a (very expensive) gift from my girlfriend last Christmas. Absolutely mortified now
