My first attempt in the competition. I used my new compact and I am new to how it works. I don't think there was enough light in the room and I didn't want to use the flash because it gave too many shadows. I wasn't going to enter but I spent a couple of hours trying! So hope you don't think it's that bad.

Great shots everyone, this was all i could think of with about 5 minutes to go before midnight, (been away this weekend) that hadn't been done before. Luckily i had remembered to put my clock backSmile [:)]

Heres mine, called "whats the score?"

Nikon D50, ISO 1600, 1/25 @f5.6, Flash Fired, Aperture Priority Mode, slight contrast boost in Photofiltre to get over the bleaching casued by High ISO and flash.

    Good luck everybody

Re: Weekend competition - 28th-29th October - The best Photographer in the World

Some great shots this weekend. I like the look on the boys face in Top Totty's shot. Real determination. David Bracher's shot of the golf ball with club behind - it's the club I'd be worried about! There seems to be a few gamblers - is that real money in Steve12's shot? Good lateral thinking. Ste Jones,s picture of a jigsaw - great colours.

Well done all and good luck.

OldBoy - Yes real money although I am not a gambling man and this fiver was used for the photograph only and went straight back into my pocket after taking the shot, lunch money for this weekWink [;)] . Did not have a lot of time this weekend so thought of cards, Pontoon in fact. I use to play this game on Sunday lunchtime in the local pub many years ago but it was only for pence or matchsticks Big Smile [:D]

Excellent shots again this week good luck everyone.
