I guess most people are hiding away from the rain here, and wondering what shots to take, i certainly have some serious thinking,as i have not many tall buildings near me, but i will persevere.

Well, I just going out in the rain to take some shots, I've got my swimming trunks on - not a pretty sight. Big Smile [:D]

Don't just look at building, think trees, rock faces, paths and roads. Might even be worth going out at mid-night to catch all the Harry Potter fans!Big Smile [:D]

hi ya - it doesn't have to be buildings or even outside really it can be people, flowers, toys, a tin of baked beans if you really want or a stack of them anyway - lol Wink [;)] here's a photo (albeit not very flattering - lol) i've just taken of my daughter

same sort of idea as the buildings shots ... but not Smile [:)]

yeah i know what you mean, but i think that buildings give a better perspective of size, and knowing my luck, i would not give a very flattering picture of someone.

I'm off to Cardiff this weekend so if it stops raining long enough for me to point my camera skyward I'll try and enter the competition!

    Good subject by the way.

Two months worth of rain in a day!! Yup, it's very wet here. I might have to think of something indoors....

Oldboy....while you're out in your trunks taking shots, remember the comp starts tomorrow.Big Smile [:D] No harm in doing a recky though.

Re: CHAT for Weekend competition 21st-22nd July 2007

Hi everyone, I've not been able to enter for ages, but hope to get one in this weekend. I think I get the idea, something like this perhaps, just in focus and without the shake Wink [;)] :

I have a handy tip - try lying down to take the photo, rather than standing up and leaning back. It's rather easy to fall over backwards I find... Embarrassed [:$]

This one sort of fits the bill, but is landscape not portrait...but I like the idea!
