That's a great price Old Boy, although I don't know what the "1 touch" bit means?

Sue - the 80-200mm is apparantly very good with a tele-convertor (from what I have read).  You'd need good light and a monopod though, handholding wouldn't be so easy. Unfortunately my 17-55mm isn't compatible with a tele-covertor (unless someone can tell me differently) as I'd love to have that for a travel set-up Sad [:(]  To be honest though the 17-55 has so far proven my favourite lens, it's a great range and I'm using it as a walkabout lens.  I expect for travelling light with my camera I shall only take this.

No one has mentioned the 80-400mm VR.  I know that it's not as fast as the Nikon f2.8 lenses already mentioned but has anyone actully got one, if so, how do you find it?

I am 90% that 1 touch lenses are push pull lenses. (as the zoom and focus are both controlled from 1 ring)

    I'm with Ade.
One ring, turn it to focus, push/pull to zoom.

Cheers guys, I would have guessed at that.  I know when I was looking for mine I was told that there are some push-pull lenses but wasn't sure how to distinguish between them.  Thanks for clarifying.
