Very windy and rough start to the Three Peaks Yacht Race today. Think of these poor souls tonight who land on Caernarvon, and then run up Snowdon in the dark. Then Ravenglass, up Scafel, then Fort William and Ben Nevis. And it only take some of them 4 days to compete.

Hey Skorpy! Good to see you on here. Welcome to the forum. Did you get a flight in this aircraft or was it just a photoshoot.

Thought you might be interested in this. The most recent 'Britain at war ' Magazine has used some of my WW1 aircraft photos for an article on Major Edward Corringham. Here's a link and it shows a page with one of the shots on it.

    Well done David,

I'll watch my P's & Q's this time. One from earlier today, trying to get in a little practice before Fairford.

    Early Example

    Cheers, Peter.

    Re: Transportation- planes,boats and trains

I was coming back from Toulouse yesterday and had the pleasure of watching one of the Beluga's taking off. Didn't have the camera, though...would have needed a telephoto lens...it was a long way off. And it really is an ugly thing.

    Oh well...back to the photos.

An interesting appearance at Waddo on Friday. One for the spotters - do you know what it is. And where its based? Its RAF, its SAR. Click image for answer.

Sticking with the interesting, two unusual pairings from Waddington on Saturday:

    Typhoon & Spitfire

    Typhoon & Spitfire

    Lancaster & Vulcan:

    Iconic British Bombers

(The Vulcan still looks ........ and sounds, amazing).
