Well it's time to rescue this thread as its slipping farther down the list.
Still lots of snow and cold weather here in Canada. I understand the daffodils are poping up over there (in some places) be at least 8 - 10 weeks before we get that.

    Bump !

Whats new folks  ? I took my 40d to Knockhill a few weeks ago to get some pics of a pal doing a car track day....... the AI servo autofocus thing worked really well, and the kit IS lens was so quiet compared to my tamron that i thought it was on manual focus !

Re: owner of the longest thread?

Hi Keith, how are you old fruit?

Craig, the Nikon D3 does look good, but at nearly three an a half grand methinks it should! I much prefer my low cost, equivelent quality solution - my 5D!! Ok, only 3 frames per second, but I only ever take single shots anyway. I'm not into machine gun photography. The D3's 51 focus points are impressive, but I normally try and focus on just one thing and switch my measly nine points to a single point so again that is wasted on me. The D3 looks a real temptation for a rich point and shooter though. Big Smile [:D]
