Taken in July at Bowness on Windermere looking towards Ambleside

Made up of six pictures and stitched using CS3 - Original picture is 15 meg after cropping- not bad for a 6meg D50

    Re: Panorama

    Hi,
I thought I'd revive this thread with a shot from my holiday to Italy in August (more info below)
(Who needs a tripod for pano's?? Try handheld Wink [;)])

    .

Bigger Version here (original was huge)

This panorama is 5 shots taken handheld whilst on holiday in Italy. Minor PP work apart from the stitching process. This is the Piano Grande, a massive plautea in the Appenines amonsgt some brilliant scenery. It seemed to take forever to get there by car but it was worth the journey, and, despite being in the middle of nowhere the plateau was packed. Campervans and bikes everywhere, the town in the pano' is Castel Luccio, it was very small and very rustic (rundown) but in an awesome style only Italians could manage. In the winter this place is snowed under and the nearest shop is 40-50 miles let alone a supermarket.

    Thanks
    Tim

Gosh, it does look remote. Good work on the stitching. I love the sky too.

    Re: Panorama

    Tim,

Very impressive for handheld, very impressive, it does look remote up there.

It took this on Monday at Blea Water, just southwest of Haweswater in the Lake District, this was taken using a tripod and is HDR, stitched and blended in PSE6.

Have you guys ever tried zoomify to display large files on the web? I reckon it's perfect for panoramas.

Anyway I've used it here for some of mine

This is my first that I took on holiday. It is hand held 8 shots and stitched together automatically in PS. You will need to click it to see it properly.
