It wouldn't let me delete the post - so I've removed the content - it was awful!  I need to go away and practice A LOT before I come back here.

Hi moonlustie and welcome. Big Smile [:D]

Don't worry about posting photos, as we all do bad ones at times. If it's a problem with composition or getting the best from camera and lenses, by posting it give people a chance to show you the right direction and correct mistakes. Remember, we all had to start somewhere and most of us are still learning.

Thank you, you're kind - it's so frustrating - I've had my Fuji FinePix 6500fd for a year and I just can't seem to get things into sharpe focus - apart from a few fluke pictures or ones taken outside in bright sunshine.  When I look through the viewfinder they seem clear but get them onto the computer/onto a web page and they're all blurry.  Against the other pictures on this page the one I posted just looked so awful, I couldn't bear to leave it there.  I've read so many books and magazines and yet I don't seem to be any better than when I started - perhaps I should go back to a point and shoot.

    Cheers

Ah! You might have suggested the cause of the problem. It appears that low light is part of the problem. Can you change the ISO to a higher value, as blurry images suggest camera/subject movement in lower light levels. Big Smile [:D]

    Re: Photo of the Day

    Hi Moon.

I'm not that well up on Fuji camers. However, a friend had a top-end bridge one, model number escapes me, and he had same issues - sharp in viewfinder, but playback and downloads were outta focus. Appeared to be the camera in the end, and he ditched it. Not making any comment on whether his was a one-off issue or otherwise; I simply don't know.

Best thing, take a number of images; some close-up, mid distance and some landscape type. But do all these on a tripod with remote or timer release. If they're still soft, then must be the camera?

    Cheers,
    Neil
