    Re: Photo of the Day

One from today... what a joy life can be.

I had stopped at a junction to turn right, and was immediately struck from behind by a bicycle, which shattered the rear right lights. As the lads on the bike didn't have any documentation on them, and weren't entirely forthcoming (initially) with their names and addresses, we were stuck waiting around for the police.

Then to make matters worse, this articulated lorry smashed the left rear lights. sigh... It's amazing, in both cases nothing was damaged other than the lights.

But the worst was yet to come...when I returned home, and tried to open a bottle of wine...the corkscrew broke. Fortunately I had a backup (you can never have enough corkscrews, you never know when you really really need one).

Anyway, here's my only photo from today:

Well they do say things come in threes - at least you had all your bad luck in one day!

The trouble is that nowadays you always have to buy the whole fitting which is usually hugely expensive - hopefully you will get reimbursed easily.

Don't they say that such disasters\breakages come in threes? May as well get 'em over and done with in one day ;-)

So far, washing machine b u g g e r e d and new one having to be bought, then brake caliper siezed on car last week. Just waiting to see what's next!

No just the usual drive like an idiot day. Normally I would have been more cautious and gone slower...but on this occasion I'd stopped at the junction.

I'm investigating time travel, which might help with dodging the idiots here.

As I said, though, the corkscrew was the worst part of it all...I really liked that corkscrew. I don't think the car would ever have been a subject for Tim W. Although, if he really want's a challenge Wink [;)].
