N-Hatton really cool shot. Looks just like he posed for you. Well done.

    Tim, I like the lighting.

I suspect he caught me out of the corner of his eye and couldn't help but pose. Certainly know I would if I was an Eagle pilot  ;-)

    where were you?

you could have said you where coming we could have had a chatt.

what a noise this f18 made gosh my ears still hurts

    Hi f_hidri.

I was all over the place; did full length of the runway, statics and trade-end.

F18 certainly the noisiest of the show!

I was actually a bit disappointed by the Avro Vulcan! Didn't sound anywhere near as loud as I remembered from years ago and should have been far louder - used to make your chest and trousers rumble! A guy in the crowd told me the engines weren't original; mentioned something about Concorde engines - presumably with afterburners removed and silenced a fare bit? Don't know if he was right or simply mad ;-)

    Airbus A380 the most awesome!

    Cheers,
    Neil

No idea on the engines, but good to know I'm not the only one to think she sounds different - or perhaps both our audio-memories are flawed Wink [;)]

It had some of the incredible and one-off sounds to it, especially when spooling(?) up the engines for take off at the end of the run way, all sorts of odd whines, whistles and shrieks :-)

Just that once it took off it didn't have the mighty sound I remembered! Don't think I was the only one to think this, the crowd seemed subdued once the display had finished -  was only two or three passes and over so quickly! Maybe they weren't pushing too hard given it's still early days in it's restoration?

Still good to see in our skies once again :-)

    Cheers,
    Neil

This is an old windmill used at the copper mines near Amlwch in north wales. This is a 5 shot vertical pano due to my lack of ultra wide angle lens, also converted to HDR

That's beautiful Ron, might have a go at doing something similar as we have lavender outside the front door (just as practice you understand, not as competition ... me being a newbie an all)
