Was worried they were too low down in the frame - forced to do compose like this as sun had stongly light water in the foreground - wanted to exclude it.

The Canon 75-300 Mk3 "USM" was given a good workout over the past two days.



At the 300mm end, I guess it can still deliver... just.

(Yes, that's just "USM"... none of this "AS"/"VR" crap! High ISO (yeah, ok... ISO400) and technique (tripod not required). One of those requires learning... sorry.)

Excellent pic Dave.

I got to work to day, as I fell out the passenger door of the vehicle I was confronted by these huge mushrooms, so couldn't resist getting the camera out.

I appreciate they are very amateurish, so any criticism and comments would be gratefully received. I took several a different angles and some of a set of two, equally large.

Thanks OB - it was damp when I left home, which is quite sheltered.  This is a scrubby bit of land on an airfield which had had a lorry trailer on it for years.  I was as suprised to see them as I was to see the size of them.
