This was my first attempt at a panorama taken during the summer while out in crete. It was taken handheld as I was NOT going to lug a tripod around crete with me.

It turned out ok, but I wasnt quite sure how the software would merge it, so I wasnt quite expecting the huge bend around of the foreground, but I think I just about get away with it. I would just crop it but I think the walls add to it by framing it in a way..

best not viewed at full size, as It was at the begining of the holiday, and a bit of an experiment, so all the shots were minimum quality. ;)

My first try at pano..handheld..8 frames stitched...will have to try on a better day and on tripod.....those white things are sheep & windturbines.

You need to be careful about exposure, as there is an obvious difference where its stitched about 1/3rd if the way through

Yeah - I know - back then I didn't realise manual exposure was best. Oh well, you live and learn...

Hi David,
thanks for the welcome, i have that dambuster print on my wall , managed to get it printed in the USA 4 foot by 1 foot, printing was cheap... framing... well lets not go there

Framing does cost a bloomin fortune...nightmare! I take it the lancaster was added later.....

I have to admit the lancaster was added after, but was done based on seeing the actual event.
The print looks great, the framer didn't believe me when i told him that the lanc wasn't originally in the pic.

Nice one...adding a shadow/reflection on the water would have really finished it, but tough to get right. Still, Great aircraft!
