For me:
- Nikon 28-70 D series (from the 35mm)
- Nikon 70-210 D f4. (from the 35 mm)
- Sigma 105 f2.8 macro
- Sigma 10-20 f4.5
Which do I use most? hmmmm....all of them, but it depends on what I'm shooting. The 105 gets used for macro shots (obviously) but also portraits (little distortion and very crisp). The 28-70 and 70-210 are the usual grunts (although I might upgrade to a 18-200 VR sometime to replace them both). And the 10-20 sigma is just so much fun, I just love it.
I've been looking around to upgrade (have a bit of pocket money saved up) and don't really know what to go for. The older lenses could do with replacing (esp. the 28-70 where the filter element rotates with focus - irritating with ND grad filters). But the 70-210 is still nice and sharp. These two, though, are quite heavy, being made with glass and quite sturdy.
I'm tempted by the Sigma 50-500, but with no real need for wildlife photography, don't really know if I want to break my back carrying it around (similarly for the pro f2.8 zooms).
I think I'll just spend the money on some really good filters.
