re: the tower crop - I didn't spend enough time lining up the shot to realise I wasn't central - rushed it a little. Will try and crop again.
I was paying too much attention to the sky to notice!!

Really like your picture of the church.

Re - bridge - I've ordered some better sky for the next time I get up there! It was a little dissapointing but first time 'd taken the camera out for ages so was happy to be clicking away!

I actually like the color and the mood that this photo has.

   Hi Folks, comments please, not sure how to enlarge the image without loosing quality.

 

hmmm.. the colours in that are really nice and the image has a nice warm and smooth kind of feel to it. Not too keen on the composition, maybe its having that bud thing in the middle, maybe try a few different crops to see what it looks like?

took this one on my 6th form trip to sicily when we ot to the hotel, didnt have a tripod which i was quite disappointed with as i could have pushed the shutter speed a bit slower

don't be disappointed, it looks pretty good to me. You may have achieved a different result with a tripod and it may have been good too but you'd be pushing it to get a better result than this. It has a good feel to it, I like what's going on in the foreground water as well as the waves and it looks original too. Sharpness isn't everything.
