Thank you both.   I  am familiar with the toy.  Maybe my question should have been "At what angle did you do that?"  Wink [;)]  I have 8 grandkids and one of them have a collection of Thomas...but never played Thomas with them...anyways...not important anymore...thank you

    Re: Weekend comp rejected shots

Well as I expected I am learning from this weeks challenge, went to a round church to get shots of the doorway, but only when I got back and started the process of converting to b/w did I realise a fundamental mistake I made, I chose a building made of a light coloured stone and so very little contrast to capture, so no matter how much I tweaked the conversion, dpp, ps dng, just ps (tried various methods mentioned recently) I couldnt get a rich shot :(  need to rethink my subject matter,  here are 2 attempts, any feedback on the conversion or more direction, tips etc gratefully recieved.

    Re: Weekend comp rejected shots

here is my rejected shot for the weekend, it was so difficult choosing and taking pictures which transfer to B&W is an entirely different process, I think that the rejected shots are as good as the submitted ones. love the arch way and the gate post by steve and b4each.

Just a quick question - how do you put a small version of your photo in a message and when you click on it it takes you to the original? Can't seem to suss this out. Duh!

    Re: Weekend comp rejected shots

It's an odd one this week, the rejects are as good as the actual entries.  I'm still not sure I submitted the right one for mine and I think I prefer Boltondave's "stile" to the one in the comp.  It's going to be tough o choose one to vote for.
