    Peter J. Jackson:

Great shots everyone, I'm still trying to get to grips with my new(ish) lens, partly because of the gale force winds and partly due to non stop thunderstorms, I did manage this last week between storms.

    Best Regards PJ.

Wind is a killer when trying to take macro shots. It's a great shot of the bee, all in focus. I think I would have moved left a bit so more of the insect is in view, otherwise I couldn't fault it. Big Smile [:D]

Re: Macro Pics - Post your best...

i thought they where cool to until i looked at lordv pics.his pics look pro..

For them shots i used nikon d50 sigma 105mm macro lens and bellows both lens and bellow whree on full zoom..

after some help from lordv hes helped me get 4x life size from my 105mm and 50mm reversed back on to the 105mm,,and adding a set of kenko tubes i should get some great shots..i love macro but 1x life size doesnt excite me enough..i want mega close ups..so im on a misson,,just waiting for the stuff to come in the post..if i had a canon i would get that lens tho..expensive but well worth it imo,.

    Gosh Harry,

You never have any wildlife to photograph, and now you have two for the price of one!

    Lovely pic.

Peacock is very nice too Mick, Great lens that 90mm. I like the Bigma for butterflies too though.

Actually Simon I had a field full of them, but I did have to travel inland for almost an hour to find them. Harry

This looks as good a thread as any for my first post… Smile [:)]

I just got a Panasonic FZ8, my first "proper" camera as I've only used "point & shoot" cameras until now so now I have to learn how to do things right.  In the meantime here are a few pics I took with my mother's Kodak z710.
