    Re: Panorama

Had a go at stitching images together for this panorama - made up of 18 (Overkill maybe) images. I decided to take them in portrait to see how it worked. The sky wasn't great but I do like that you can just about make out the severn bride on the horizon(22 miles away)

Anyway let me know what you think

    Re: Panorama

Thanks to Fizzio's list of all the post your best threads, I have had a looky at some of the cracking panos posted here.  Well done everyone, some great shots/stitches here.

This is one that I took just round the corner from my office last autumn.  It's only stitched from 3 shots, each taken in landscape orientation.  I used PTGui to stitch it and then adjusted the levels slightly in CS3 but apart from that it's exactly as it was in it's component form from the camera.

Hopefully there will be some more panos posted, it's my fave genre of all the photo types.

    Cheers
    Ian

    Re: Panorama

I took the opportunity to take another couple yesterday while making a trip over to the west coast to pick up my sons for the weekend.

The first one is 11 shots taken in portrait orientation stitched using PTGui, though there is a little too much bow distortion for my liking (I need to look at making a pano head for my tripod - I like the Nodal Ninja ones).  The second one is 4 shots taken in landscape orientation, again stitched using PTGui.  Both shots have had no other work done on them in PS afterwards.

Looking at the second one kind of reminds me a little of the holiday I had last year in Turkey even though it's Loch Maree in the Highlands.

    Cheers
    Ian

    Re: Panorama

Here's one I took today at the Nine Maidens, a Bronze Age stone circle on Stanton Moor, Derbyshire.

It's made up of 20 frames (bit of overkill I know) and the full size jpeg is nearly 22Mb.

This version is a little small, but it was this or the full width one which is too large for this thread. If you want to see it full size, please check out the version in my gallery.

    Cheers,

    Kev.
