They had The Birmingham Pipe Band Competition today. Never seen them check the noise levels of bagpipes before!

So this is my latest offering. I've been taking my street photography on to Boston common to try and capture the enjoyment of the long hot summer evenings recently. I would love any outside comments on this one as I really like it but feel it could be one of those personal favorites where you are blinded to its true averageness? It could do with being a bit larger to see the detail but this is all I have at the moment.

Cheers for the comments, everyone.

I received Robert Frank's book 'The Americans' through the post the other day (I mentioned this on another thread), and I'm kind of looking for the same sort of shots while I'm up in London. Many of his pictures have a very stark, almost 'glowing' centrepiece to the picture, and this was the aim. Also, I wanted to get his 'grab' shot feel, with less compositional distraction.

Dunno if it works, but I kinda like the shot m'self.
