WMMFGT (Saturday) managing to get to the bottom of the steep car park on my rollerblades (still can't go straight down the hill - far too scary! but I did make it down with less twists and turns than ever before!)

WMMFGT (today) - seeing that people want to do a day out shooting in Nottingham (photos that is not guns!)

Re: What made you feel good today?

Got my 18-70 back from nikon.

cleaned up, working and with a new lens cap.

It feels heavier then before though, almost unbalanced on my d40!

Edit: Oh and I got some overtime at work this week so should have a nicer pay packet to get me closer to a D300 and hopefully put the may 19th pick up date back on schedule.  (I'm currently £50 behind, and will fall further if I dont get more hours, however I'm assuming I'm earning £100 a week, which I'm not since I had my hours cut, but with the overtime last week will get £101 this friday, and with the over time this week will get £117 next week. I then need to hold onto my lunch money to pay for my phone bill so that doesnt effect my saving.)

Re: What made you feel good today?

    I'm currently pundering it, but I think I may get a 2nd hand D200 instead of a d300.

Because Thats £500 cheaper, and I'm still a student. That money could go towards lenses or maybe a film set up :D

    Still undecided though.

    WMMFGT?

    This.

It's official - nobody cares about blown highlights in dresses any more.

I'm slightly puzzled why the art ed decided to ramp up the brightness on the dress like that and wind back the skin tones but I'm sure there's a good reason for it. I'll bet it's to do with the barcode or making all that pink stand out.

I also got another 4 pages in the mag which was nice. Big Smile [:D]
Kidography. It's like photography. But more fun.

    Complete lack of will power.

Just ordered a 2nd hand d200 for £499 from AJP along with a thinktank urban disguise 50. I had to get the memory card seperatly as ajp were out of stock, so knowing my luck the D200 will get here monday but the card will be delayed untill friday!

Celebrity photographer Rankin – whose subjects have included Tony Blair, Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue – has tested the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III in an exclusive footie shoot for Canon as part of its Euro 2008 campaign. “You can’t get a better D-SLR camera than a Canon,” Rankin commented. “What you’re hoping for with any new Canon camera is that it will be even better than the one before – and the EOS-1Ds Mark III has achieved that.” The resulting photographs, which celebrate football’s ‘tiny moments and the emotive quality of these moments’, will form part of Canon’s sponsorship and advertising campaign for Euro 2008. So while Britain won't be there, there's another reason to watch Euro 2008!

The red highlight pen is mine by the way, but if Canons are good enough for Rankin then they sure are for me. Eat your heart out Nikon lovers. Devil [6]

Hardly surprising, seeing such comments... given the review of the Pentax K20D, and the reviewer wanting the Pentax in a Canon body...

If the camera delivers the results, who cares what it is? Unless you're out to just show-off.

He's employed by Canon to say how good the camera is! No conflict of interest there then!!!! Surprise [:O]
