My DC Mag Gallery.

Wow some stunning pictures here I'd love to be able to take photos half as good myself. I'm totally new to the hobby. I've had my Olympus E510 for just over a week now and I've been practising taking more pictures in manual mode today whilst on a family outing to the Peak District today.

Here's my best effort... so far.

the shot is quite noisy.. didyou use high iso for a reason or is it post processed?

anyway post loads.. talk lots.. and enjoy your hobby!

oh one thing.. i'd advise using the cam in aperture priority or similar til you get used to the thing.. its a fallacy that everyone needs to use manual from the off to be a good tog.. loads on here use one of the auto modes.. i usually stick to aperture priority .. unless using lights ..

it also lets you get a feel of the camera without the worry..

Noisey? I'll have to look that up. According to the image properties the pic was taken at iso 100, 1/500sec at f4.2 I took the shot using a 40-150mm lens at 50mm.

Lots to learn :) Thanks for the advice.

Btw when you click the picture does the larger image look noisey?

All of these are great, i especially like keiths of the bike, thats the kind of photo i would have on my wall. 

Iv had my camera 2 weeks now and havent had much of a chance to take it out but heres one in the kitchen when i tried photographing my mams fruit salad before it was ready. I hope that you like it. occ
