    Hi DaLuds,

    DaLuds:

Lurkalot...Actually, I'm really having fun and I giggled everytime I see your nose twitchingBig Smile [:D]...I want to know how you did that...I just love to take photos.  I did not study photography, but with the softwares in the market...it's really fun playing with all my daily shots...Some of my talented friends would like to be a member...you should see how talented our little town is, in different categories...Yes, I know how to have fun, but I got offended by ????? by another member.  I'm new in this group and I hate to belong to a forum who are biased...

Very glad to hear you've had fun with the comp.

I hope it wasn't me that offended you, if it was, I didn't mean to. I also don't think there's any bias to the forum.

I will be happy to see you win, if the management disallowed votes from other artists who are not member of this group.  I have no problem with that.  I have a problem on ?????? Wink [;)]

We don't have any control at all over the polling software, so there's no possiblity of a Florida hanging-chad situation Smile [:)]. We can't even set an end date on the poll to stop voting when the period ends. The only means of deciding the winner was Cedar looking at the poll at midnight on Wed. and seeing who was ahead at that time.

The only other way of disallowing votes would be to subtract some from the total, but as we don't know who voted (forum member or non-member), or when this would be a totally unacceptable practise (and not something I'd endorse at any rate).

It would be better, just like the other site I belonged to, that the site will have their own set of judges and not a polling system like this.

Problem with a panel of judges is we'd then have to have some manner of choosing the judges...I prefer the open voting system, it empowers everyone and is simple.

    H.

    My opinion,

this was one big misunderstanding.   Top Toty was merely questioning, why did I win when DaLuds had more votes.  then went and checked the rules, and realised some votes were over the allotted time, for which she apologised in the next post.   If anything, Top Toty was sticking up for DaLuds, not offending.

That was my take on it anyway, so no damage done in my opinion. Wink [;)]

    Thanks Lurkalot

You have explained better than me my query! I wasn't being being offensive or nasty to anyone, just couldn't understand the poll, but thanks Lurkalot for coming to my defense.

PS. You got my vote in comp

Thanks Hevans...it was not you who offended me...it was Top Totty, however, after reading Lurkalot's side on the comment, I went back and read and read it again.  I do understand where he is coming from.  I do suggest to Top Totty, it would only take a few more words to add on her comment so that it will be as clear as the "water" ...Smile [:)]...just like how Lurkalot explained it in detail.  Anyway, let's start fresh and forget this thing...thank you all.Cool [H]
