Re: ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY - Post yours here

    Thanks for the welcomed comments

Unfortunately the swan was heading out of shot when I captured it.  There was a lot of water above and below it but nothing else to the right.  I didn't want to crop in too tight (and have the swan fill the frame) that's why I opted for this crop, but I do agree it would have been better coming into the shot.  The only thing I can do is go back and try again.

    Cheers.

Beckiscott - great capture!  Martin - I agree with David - slightly different crop would make a huge difference to me.

There must be a witty caption to go with this one but sadly it escapes me right now - all suggestions welcome, as well as any critique!

Here's a few of my favourite animal pics from a recent trip to Longleat House and Safari Park. The thumbnails are clickable to see bigger versions - I find it the best way to easily view a reasonable size picture!

Re: ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY - Post yours here

Thanks MC. I was pretty lucky with most of the animals on this visit - in all honesty they did a lot of the work for these shots! I just pointed the camera the right way, but it seems to have worked alright! I did have to ignore the "Keep all windows closed" signs for the lion though - not sure what the keeper thought of my lens poking out every so often!

I thought the pic had to be taken over the weekend.  That pic's about a month old.
