    RE: Where are you from

    Dave,

I am two hours east of Portland (about 120 miles, sorry, I can't convert that), halfway between Portland and Walla Walla (the town so famous they named it twice).

I drive to Portland two or three times a month
on business. Never drive through the Columbia River Gorge without your camera. Much scenery and many picture opportunities.

Your wife is right about the taxes. Just a short drive across the river from Washington to Oregon and you save 7 or 8 percent on every purchase.

Good luck on your move and welcome to Washington.

    RE: Where are you from

    Greg,

120 miles is 120 miles we still use miles for road distances.

We drive along The Gorge quite often as my wifes' sister and her husband live in Walla Walla

    RE: Where are you from

Childhood spent in Norfolk and Suffolk. For the past 35 years I've lived in the Cambridgeshire fens where the only hills that feature in my photos are molehills.
