A few from a brief trip to Bristol Zoo

This poor old lion was obviously unhappy in its enclosure and made the saddest noises. Bristol Zoo policy seems to be to phase out the bigger animals as they die - and quite right too.

 

The lizards were much happier!

The pictures need to be hosted somewhere on line. If using Internet Explorer you should be able to right click copy and then paste here - I can never do this with firefox but IE works.

Thanks for the comments sue and taxija. It was evening when I took the shots, almost 18:00 hours, hence the light.

Great dog shots from taxija and sue, neither of which you would wish to tangle with.

some really stunning pics here, love the look of that rottie!!

I found a newborn calf the farmer didnt even know  was there this morning, he must have been born overnight
