As the one on the right surfaced, the youngster on the left stole the fish and made a run for it, a chase ensued but the youngster managed to swallow it whole.

Well caught with the Grebe - the youngsters do seem very cheeky!

Hi all - New to the site - here's one of my favourite pictures taken in the 2 Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town - I"m pleased with the colours and definition of the penguin but I've been unable to do anything about the reflections in the water which are a little distracting Sad [:(]

EDIT - Sorted (well for me, I hope the rest of you can see it now?)

Hi David & welcome. Your pic of the aquarium sounds great but we can't see it, I'm afraid! Can you have another go at posting it?

Here's a recent one from me taken while getting ideas for a weekend comp. The little swines were tricky to catch but this chap sat almost motionless long enough for me to snap him.

I agree - the colours are lovely and the penguin's pin sharp to my eyes. The reflections could probably be removed, or at least reduced a lot, by using a polarizing filter, but you'd have to go back and catch the critter again!

    Crown Estate Deer

A hasty merge of 8 shots of the deer on the Crown Estate in Windsor because i need to get off to work, hence the bad blending.

Why blend, this looks like a good subject for  a montage/collage image.

    Thanks for the direction.

Still at work, 5 min break, will have have a mess around with you suggestion when i get time again.

The shots didn't come out as good as i would like, and i would like to have done some post editing on it, just to bring out the colours etc. Also they were so far away, and i was stuck behind a fence.

I was tempted to snuck over it, but i don't think H.M would have appreciated it, and i didn't fancy getting picked up by the Royal Protection Group. Lol.

oh what a beautiful image.. it has such a lovely fairytale feel to it.. this is definately my image of the month! i want it on my wall.. well actually ellie-mae does lol (5)

sue i love your tiny squirrel for the same reasons as above..
there are some excellent shots on this thread but a lot seem to be a study of the animal in its natural habitat.. which is fine but its lovely sometimes to see a little more character and fun in the animal kingdom..
