Just finished "the moment it clicks" and realised that the shower curtain in my bathroom makes an amazing soft light, unfortunately I cant drag my bath/shower around with me...

Re: What made you feel good today?

Been away for the weekend so thanks to everyone who congratulated me :o)

    JD:

Wow, congratulations Kate, that's superb! Smile [:)]

    What was your degree in?

I was two marks off a first. Two marks! Hmph.

I was bang on 70 so was quite lucky to get a first really. Some of my friends were a couple of marks off too, they were pretty annoyed! I studied advertising, just looking for jobs now but there are hardly any going at the moment :o(

Taking a close relative to Hospital and seeing the other patients, realising that I have nothing to complain about.

    WMMFGT?

Feeling my internal organs vibrate as the F-22 decided to partake in a vertical climb right above the office with afterburners on wide open!

Good grief I love the Farnborough Airshow! Big Smile [:D]

Re: What made you feel good today?

I just realised that I dont need my next 2 flashguns to have dumb slave, or for them to have triggers. Because only one needs a trigger, and that flash wont need to have built in slave! So I just ordered a second hand sb-28 and Im working on getting an sb-26, with the plan that I can wire my skyport to the 28 and have the 26 and 800 on dumb slave.

Eventually I'll get more skyports, so that when I'm limiting the light a little more I can still fire them all, but for the moment Ive saved a lil money.

edit: Just purchased an sb-26 and sb-28 for about £80 each.

ROFL!  Oh yes I remember that - I worked next to the airfield for 3.5 yrs - and don't forget the aviation fuel fumes in the air conditioning Wink [;)]

Re: What made you feel good today?

Too far away for the smell of the fumes sadly, but close enough for the noise!

Eurofighter on the schedule for the rest of the week with a full display pattern, so plenty of window rattling to be enjoyed.

Friday is the day though, the Avro Vulcan takes to the skies. It will be fantastic to see that in the air again.

The old Vulcan, great shape and it looked like a moden warplane even now. Big Smile [:D]

Re: What made you feel good today?

Strange how one forgets the sound/noise of an aircraft over time though; I heard loud jet noise on Sunday which I couldn't place - went outside and was enthralled to see XH558 flying over (too far west of me to get decent piccies though!).

Agree, OB that the Vulcan still looks modern, and even futuristic, against the likes of the B-2 Spirit....  Now there's an idea for a paint job on an Airfix model Smile [:)]
