Strange how one forgets the sound/noise of an aircraft over time though

When I was 8 years old and living in ex-RAF housing over the road from RAF Duxford, Concorde came in low as part of an air display. It couldn't land (due to the runway being chopped short in 1977) but it was so low and so loud that our kitchen window imploded. I'll never forget that sound Big Smile [:D]

    Yesterday I had one flashgun.

    Today I have two.

    Tomorrow I shall have three.

Theyre like rabbits... It didnt come with a golden box thouh Sad [:(] Then I suppose I'm running out of room in my cupboard for any more golden boxes!

Oh to be a student and be able to afford all of this fancy stuff like flashguns and wireless controllers, bizzarly when you are working you suddenly can't afford anything, i still run on my kit lens and i did manage to buy an sb800 (for the price of a 600), i dream of new lenses and shiny new kit but sadley it all goes on bills and keeping the family in food and clothes Sad [:(] enjoy it while you can Smile [:)]

And my friend cant work out why I work so much! Cause I dont have any bills to pay so I get to keep all of it once a tiny bit of tax has been taken.

I wish it would last forever!

Just got back from the camera shop...

now have the 18-200 Nikon zoom, a load of ND grads, circ. polariser for the Sigma 10-20, and was extremely close to walking out with a D300...but they didn't have any in stock at that instant.

PS. Great news Leemo...always nice to know you've got one! Wink [;)]

The modern, soul-less lumps of plastic might be... but the flash powder trays aren't.

Yeah, that's something else I like... and actually managed to buy one on eBay. Big Smile [:D]

Wmmfgt? Add "What made me feel sad" onto that... I sent a farewell email out to the helpdesk. Good, I'll not miss the er... "state" the desk has become. Not good, I'll miss the staff and work colleagues.

That's the best way to leave - you're on to something better but on good terms with the colleagues.

So, is the new job nearer to Ms Tulip?? Wink [;)]

My manager's commented that he hates loosing good staff, and there's always a risk of taking new staff on... will they get to the level of the person they're replacing? Bettering is another matter.

Re: What made you feel good today?

Getting back home and sitting down after working 8-6 on frozen. My legs and arms hurt, but the coldrooms tidy and the shop looks good. The seats more comfy now aswell.

I also have three flashguns sitting infront of me. The sb-26 seems quite clunky though, and it'll take a bit of getting used to!
