Isn't it a coincidence we have a preponderence of Caledonian jobsworths running the country at the moment-what a monumental injustice,a transparent case of nepotism and self-interest.Vote out this heap of trash at the next available juncture with maximum prejudice.  [I'll go and have a lie down now.....]

We're not getting free prescription charges, yet, not til 2011 but we will be paying less than you lot shortly.

My RAID coming up with a non existant fault, then spending 3 hours this morning remaking itself. Working now. If it does it again, a new HDD in the offing methinks.

Talking of Scotland, for me the thing that grates is that Scottish MPs can vote at Westminster on affairs that only effect the English, but English MPs cannot vote in the Scottish Parliment on things that only effect the Scots. Not quite right that.

Lovely place though. Rained a lot but when the sun came out it was beautiful, and that was in June! And why the hell did the chipshop put my piece of chicken in batter? That really threw me.

FYI prescriptions ARE NOT free in Scotland so you're not paying for that pile of (edited by admin)

I for one don't agree with breaking up the union but it's because of this ignorance attitude that Scots want independence.

 

 

What gets me is that the Scotts a dam proud to call them selfs Scottish, rightly so and all thier sports men/women are classed as Sccottish. Same with the Welsh and Irish.(not that the Welsh and Irish are classed as Scottish)
How come the all the English are refered to as British. I think England and English people have lost there identity. I always call my self English, born, bread, and very proud of this fact. Its not a perfect country by a long, way but its MY country and i love it.

People using personally directed bad language on websites when they are faced with a vigorously presented rational  debate about a heated subject. Bet you these people wouldn't use this language to your face if you met them in the street!

Just a word of warning, and to remind you guys to Stop the insults and bad language.

Well said.Resorting to insults and swearing usually means you've lost the argument - this is generally an adult and friendly forum - we've all got differing opinions and it's just a caseof engaging brain cells and making a reasoned argument. If people can't manage that then they're best ignored.
