I am now scared to let you see any of mine, I am so humbled in you presence, I see yo have a few canal shots. The Union Canal and the forth and Clyde canal have recently been reopened here, with the opening of the Falkirk wheel, "the worlds first revolving boat lift" I have a few snaps of that and also of a big boat squeezing under a lifting bridge, I will try and put them somewhere so that you can see them. Which canal are your pics of ? Once again, I really like the tractor shot. How long did it take to do ?

Awww....I have learnt to use the layers and masks in photoshop so I can work quite quickly now, maybe it took me about 30mins I can't remember. The canal pictures are of the south oxford canal. I look forward to seeing your pics, you do yourself down Neil, those shots of your little girl are interesting and delightful. Wish we could submit photos on here too! (is Jeremy listening?)

Yeah, Jeremy, why can't we put photos on the site, for all to see and (hopefully) praise each others work ?

Oh no Neil, try cleaning it? (no I expect you've done that) Does your CD writing programme have a CD checker on it? I use Direct CD and it scans any corrupt CD's for problems...

RE: owner of the longest thread?

Leslie, Herein lies one of the problems with this forum software. New forumites get really involved and post all over the show. Then they get a few notification emails flowing through. So they cancel one. And can't understand why they should keep coming because they learn about the default to off setting and switch that over. The fact is that each thread acts independently - which is great as it means on rare esoteric questions you can leave the notification on and if someone answers your question as a result of a forum search weeks later it brings it to your attention. Sadly it also means you need to disable each and every thread you post in. Sounds to me like you disable notifications in another thread. Or in this one then posted again (hence reenabling it). Make sure your defaults are set to off (in Newsletter link (oddly) in your member pod top left). Then disable this thread - either with a post or from a link in one of your latest mails. Then hopefully it will all be sorted. Phew. Des ;-) (really it will be soon as soon as we sort out the payments chunk) Cheers, Jeremy

Marianne! Thanks for the Photopoint website address. I took the liberty of having a little peek at your work and I have got to say that I am mightily impressed. "I wish" is quite superb. You must be very proud of both the portrait and the subject. Good on you. Keep it up. (132 and rising!) Mart

Marianne, call me a bit silly but I'm new to the photopoints site how do I find your pics there? I've tried searching for you by the name you have here but to no avail. btw I've put a couple of mine up there, nice site, if only cos they review my photos with a high rating :>
