    OldBoy wrote the following...

DaLuds – Curvy Lettuce, it looks like a hedge to me. Now if you could have taken this shot from above it could have been a contender! I love the colours of the greens together with the red flowers, it just a shame it was overcast at the time. I would have cropped out the top of the picture as I find the people slightly distracting, without adding anything to the composition. The hedge has a very restful symmetry to it’s construction, and I could sit and look at this for hours. Well done.

Hello Oldboy...thank you very much...Crying [:'(]it's not a curvy lettuce...I forgot to erase the name of my previous entry, lol...like what you said it looks like a hedge...I think it is Surprise [:O]...it's the main garden/main attraction at Paul Getty Center/Museum in Los Angeles.  I did not have the intention of joining because I was busy with my niece, showing her around, but everywhere I go, there are curves...lol...Huh? What? from above? lol...I would not pay money just to be riding a helicopter to take a shot of this one for the comp...I'm just enjoying the "thinking" part of the comp...now, I don't have any more ambition to win Stick out tongue [:P]Sad [:(]Tongue Tied [:S]Surprise [:O]Crying [:'(].  It will be different if I'm doing my book, I'll pay...but thank you very much, your effort is sooooo much appreciated...I did not cut the people part to show the size of the garden...gigantic size and people looks like miniatures to me, that's my purpose for not cutting it off.  If I'm taking this picture to frame, I would cut the people part.

    OldBoy:

Another week of great shots of an interesting topic, so well done all.

Semaj – Is it a careful composition like some of the other shots, I don’t think so? What it has got by the bucket load, is that one thing all good photos need, is a hundred percent wow factor. As soon as I saw this shot I laughed and really enjoyed looking at it. It’s amazing the power in a smile even on a piece of stone. I just love it. Well done.

Thanks to Finrudd, Jabbs and Stevey for you comments. Big Smile [:D]

Thanks OldBoy for your review I had the same reaction when I spotted it out the kitchen window, never really gave it a good look before. I did it to put smiles on faces in the end, I spent ages composing a picture of the washing machine but preferred the latter.

    Jim.

Congratulations on the win this week wattig. I had to choose between yours and Gill's. I went for Gill's as the colours really stood out. Great shot though.

Also great reviews from Stevey and Oldboy, much appreciated feedback.

Can't wait for this weekends subject, hopefully have more time.
