Re: B & W in recognition of this month's DCMag

Ok! here are 3 photos that I've been playing around with for a few days, not perfect but I'm getting there.  Also I managed to figure out how to add frames so apologies if any of the frame dont seem to go with the photos.

Bit of a dark and moody shot which summed up the weather that day.

The wind was blowing over 30mph the day this shot was taken making the blowing sand look like fog over the beach surface.

Taken on a nice sunny day, kinda like the way the board and rider are in focus while the wheels are blurred as they are still spinning.

Sorry no buildings, insects or plants hereSmile [:)] hope you like.

Aye, they aren't bad... just bluddy big images to display. As Lurkalot suggests, large images could be a factor in this sites poor response times.

Link to fullsize images, show smaller versions of, in this thread. Think about the unlucky ones who still use modems to connect to the internet, they also have to dowload the big images to see anything else on the page. Browser caches don't last forever.

No probs, have put up smaller versions.  With broadband and widescreen monitors I guess it's easy to lose the scale of these photos.

It can be, aye. But, as a guideline, there seems to be some sort of mutually agreed size of about 900 pixels on the longest edge, in the forums.

I don't like saying stuff like this, there's too many people keen to wade in and try to lynch me on this site, but sometimes this needs to be said.
