I've not posted that many picture recently as I had not had much chance of pointing my camera at anything other than my kids for a while.

My best mate has just had twins after a long time trying and my wife and I have been asked to be God parents, which is great. I took a few photos and here are a couple of my favourites.

Hi - I'm new on this site and only recently started photography.  I have moved from an Olympus Camedia to a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 which I am still getting to grips with.  However, here's a couple of shots I took the other day

David, That shot is so cool.

Here's one from a plant (no idea what it is) that holds dew and raindrops beautifully. It's a favourite subject of mine when I can't think of anything else and it always looks great with a cyanotype conversion in Lightroom.

I see you have discovered the benefit of using the Orton Effect on images like this one David - it really works well here  - your original image was good - but this well applied edit works so well - may have been an idea to post both here together to demonstrate to others - what great results can be achieved with a little innovative editing -

I like the monochrome shot too Pete - the angle used emphasises the mothers joy - real good take.

That rape seed field has been well captured Andrew -great to see "contrast" as good as this in any shot.

That cyanotype effect on the dew drop works well too vinson  - turning an often overworked subject into a real unique take.

A good tulip shot too Tazzers - but not a patch on your superb dandelion image posted earlier - it was a real unique gem.
