Thanks for your comments, much appreciated! I was'nt sure how to change a background in photoshop (I've recently purchased PS CS3 but have'nt a clue how to use it - it's going to be a rather slow process I'm afraid!) I used something called Dodge / Burn and basically just blacked out the background. Obviously this is not how it should be done but for now I know no different! I'll hopefully get into photoshop a bit more and then I'll know how to do things correctly! Any advice???

I think both would benefit a bit from a bit of curves treatment, to bring up the contrast. On the first you could deepen the blue of the sky reflection as well.

Composition of both, though, is very nice.

Hi Andrew hope your well mate, I like this shot of yours its well spotted and well composed, the short of thing that we walk past each day and fail to notice and yet with the right light and exposure we see this great graphic composition with a deep rich texture of black tarmac. Well done

Thank you for your advice, couldn't get the hang of curves so I adjusted the exposure in adobe bridge, hope I haven't over done it!
