This is the first poppy of the season in my garden.
Very nice Moira, I wonder whether a tighter crop would work better as the top petal appears to have been cut off.

this is a re-work of an earlier photo I posted. I had some constructive comments suggesting it may benefit from some curves adjustments. I'm no photoshop pro by a long stretch but I had a play around and I think it now has a little more impact, hopefully I haven't overdone it!

thanx Joni, really like the detail and texture in the Iris..but have to be honest...prefer the first one you posted.
amr, really like this streetographica shot...I'd prefer to cut out the background and just highlight the texture and content of the paper atteched to the pole.
