Weekend Competition: The Best Photographer in the world (14th-15th Oct 06)

The Best Photographer in the World 14th - 15th Oct, 2006

    Hello All,

I'm going to keep this short and sweet Wink [;)]  The subject of this weekends comp is Motion

Rules are.   If it moves shoot it.   Try to capture the movement in the pic.

    Good luck and have fun,

Mick AKA lurkalot AKA The Best Photographer in the World 7th - 8th Oct, 2006

Here are the rules as posted by Cedar..

First of all, please do not chat in this thread. If you have any questions please email me at phil@spirituk.net. This thread is for photographs only until 09:00 Monday morning (British time - GMT +1).

Hopefully you have read the above message, this is what you need for the competition. These are your instructions for the competition.

You must stick to the instructions. If your picture looks like it has not been taken by following rules and you win, you will be asked for a RAW/JPEG original. The winner will be asked for a JPEG version of the file so we can check the time and date it was taken.

You have from Friday night/Saturday morning 00:00 until Sunday 23:59 (your local time) to take your photo and post it up. Your photo must be posted in this thread before Monday noon (12:00) (BST). No photo will be accepted if it is not on by this time.

At this time Cedar will make a poll available as the last message on the thread. Anybody can vote, whether you have submitted a photo or not. You can only vote once as you polls remember IP addresses. You may also vote for yourself but I would hate to be the idiot that won off their own vote!

When the votes are counted I will ask the winner to supply me with a small original version so I can check the time and date on the properties. ALL SHOTS MUST BE TAKEN ON THAT WEEKEND FROM MIDNIGHT FRIDAY - MIDNIGHT SUNDAY (local time). This makes it fair as the winner may have a good pic he took 2 years ago, making his life easy for the following weekend.

I will then officially post the Winners name. They must then add their Winning title "The Best Photographer in the World 14th-15th October 2006 (Weekend date you win) and start a new thread called:

Weekend Competition: The Best Photographer in the world (21st-22nd Oct 06)

and post your instructions. Your instructions can be anything, however easy or hard. Make your instructions fully clear.

Even though we may get all this done by Thursday 7pm, you can only start the comp in the given time. That makes it more interesting and fair.
I hope this is clear and I really hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend! Good luck!

Well, I've found this one to be a real challenge. Getting the timing and settings of the camera right to pull off any photo - balancing the strobe, the ambient light, etc. "And with your third hand you take the picture..."

Here's my entry for this week...a crystal pendulum with multiple strobe shots.
