Every colour print ever made is a manipulation of the original image. Nearly as controversial as grass having pain receptors!

No, not at all. Just hoping you're going to build on a well established foundation! [110]

RE: owner of the longest thread?

Hi Marianne, Went out today but were just in a small boat patroling the River Forth. Not nmuch for the camera, maybe next week. Hello All, This thread is great, its like a chat room, but you can just pop in when your able to, and continue the conversation. Its great, however seems to be the same people, with few newcomers. Makes you wonder how many registered users there are on this site ? Any guesses or informed figures. Neil (tanned face now)

RE: owner of the longest thread?

Very nearly 11,000 now. But a very small proportion take part in the forum. We should spend more time explaining why it's a great place in the newsletter and in the magazine I guess. Jeremy

RE: owner of the longest thread?

to be its not helped when some us make comments without thinking it may scare people off from posting. (not having a go at anyone BTW i'm as guilty of it as everyone else - a couple of posts i made have been taken the wrong way - apologise to anyone reading who got one of those). for those new to things like this posting in a forum can be pretty daunting especially when the a flowing so fast as the do on DCM (i've seen well established forums with much lower activity than DCM)

Yep - if you spot a new name, or face (boom boom), please do try to welcome them and make sure they get a good reception. That's what helps build the community. Cheers, Jeremy

RE: owner of the longest thread?

I have recomended the site to a few friends and quite agree that it is quite daunting - toa start off with, but you soon get into the flow of things, I think I have only been aware of this site for a month or so, and I cant keep off the forums. I suppose a lot of people will read this and the other threads, and can't think what to write, if anything. I am sure that I speak for all users of the DCM forums when I say that all will be most welcome. Neil

Marianne - well done, having a plan is half way their. When I did a few sites the hardest thing was trying to find out exactly what people wanted me to do !
