Hi Marianne, I have to fully agree with you, on the Fuji S602 I too! think it is a cracker, I actually sold my Olympus OM 1/2n and all the other bits and pieces apart from what I could maybe use with the Fuji, it was a close call between that and the Sony 717, but I've always loved Fujifilm colours I developed my own slides for years and the 602 has not disapointed. Rgds. Les.

Ok, Apart from the handling, the specifications and the performance, what's so good about it?

Its sexy! lol It performs brilliantly on auto-focus, which is good if you're like me and an impatient learner, the manual settings are fab, even I know what I'm doing, the macro setting is cool, because you can use the flash and the zoom and the super macro setting is out of this world, you can go in as close as 2 centimetres, a tripod helps here though, it takes A size batteries and if you use rechargeable ones they last for ages.....enough?
