    Help advice wanted

Well it looks like people over there............. are starting to get a bit of nicer weather and I hear there is a wedding coming up in the next month then one in June geez makes us older folks feel a flutter.
It has been a loooong winter here in Canada we are waiting for the effects of global warming as this winter we (in our area and several others ) are fast approaching a record snowfall for the year never before seen or at least recorded in Toronto ammounts total over 11 ft. Montreal approaching 18 ft of snow fall this winter so just because we haven't reached these records doesn't mean it won't happen as it is snowing just now , god my back aches from all the shovelling. Not been inspired lately to take many pics but did go out on some bright sunny days after a good snowfall for some country shots.
The missus and me are getting a bit antsy and after putting off a trip this March to Portugal and February to the Bahamas (this weather is going to end and we can put the money to our trip to Spain/Paris in 2009)well it hasn't ended and now I'm thinking of 2 weeks in London  around the 2nd week of May . I would like to rent an appartment anyone have any good ideas of what districts are desirable, economical and ones to avoid. Naturally we will probably be idots and fly into Heathrow as thats were most Canadian flights arrive. I thought on this visit we would concentrate on London and thereby when we do our British trip we can avoid London and concentrate on other areas make any sense?

Re: owner of the longest thread?

I see the old mixer has been started again..... hmm the thread is looking a bit boring at the moment so lets all have a go at marianne - again.

Marianne sorry If i'm defending you out of turn but it seems that you get the blunt end of the stick for congratulating someone on their news.

Boltondave, who rattled your cage? This is meant to be a friendly thread, and has been more or less since it started.  Seems this thread is going  the same way other sites went.........

[sits back and waits for torrent of abuse, but doesn't care] I'll still stick up for you Marianne.

nothing better than a light hearted conversation going ott by the same faces etc.

On a lighter note, hows Marty doing  ?   Not heard from him for a while.

Pierre, if your up in scotland give me a shout, will be great to see you at last.

    bah, sold the sig.
