I asked the question (knowing full well what the answer was)

well i didn't know the answer

    so...

I thought its a bit wierd asking a question you know the answer to.  Not a pop at you in any way Craig.

    Boltondave, who rattled your cage?

I asked a question, got an answer that puzzled me... and now I'm having to defend my reply to the answer?

To be honest, I'm sick of having to defend straight and honest replies that I give, so I'll let you figure out "who rattled my cage".
    Neil Mealey:
This is meant to be a friendly thread, and has been more or less since it started.

It still is, afaik. But hey, I posted a reply, so I must be here to cause trouble.

Sit and wait for ages... unless you think this reply is a "torrent of abuse".

Well thus far. I've eaten 5 Hot Cross Buns since yesterday, and gonna have more for lunch. Well I have lost 4 stone over the last 12 months so a few more won't hurt!

Tris! Four stones, you must be looking gorgeous! Is that what love does for you? I'm still hoping for a miracle in the weight department, somehow, I don't think it's going to happen before the 18th April though! We are out eating with friends so much right now and my will power is nil! Still, as I'm the dressmaker, I can make it fit....I can...breathes in!!!

Have another bun Tris, we don't want you wasting away!

Re: owner of the longest thread?

I started cutting out the snacks before I met Alan, but have lost more since - so yes - love probably does have a lot to do with it! Probably something to do with the fact that he is 4 years older than me and was 3 waist sizes smaller! (Now he's only one!!) I laso don't want to look like a bloater at our ceremony next year! I know wide screen lenses are getting better, but didn't want to stretch the point!

Whereabouts on the Island is it taking place Tris? Or is it an 'overseas' job?

    By the way - what's a waist? Smile [:)]

Re: owner of the longest thread?

Original plan was at East Cowes - but things were getting out of hand - so we might opt for something smaller (i.e. us and Mr and Mrs D as witnesses) and then a bigger 'do' in Ryde afterwards - but he may now move to the mainland if he gets the job he's after so its anyones guess at the moment! A waist is normally 2 inches above where your trousers go.....

Re: owner of the longest thread?

Keith, it will all come into place soon enough.  Marianne adn Barry came to stay with us a while ago.  We were in the process of converting our garage into a second living room.  There are photos of a few days before they came - no windows, no floor nothing, then we manager to get the floor down, walls plastered and it was looking perfect (ish) when they came.....with a few hours to spare.

Re: owner of the longest thread?

House improvements get worse before they get better in my experience. Not much help I know, but it will be worth it in the end.

As for romance my son is getting wed in July. The wife and I are going to become in-laws, holy crap!

Congrats to all of you who are getting hitched.
