That's a good sign that the photo is finished - time to print it off and hang it on the wall.
An art teacher of mine once commented that the difference between a child's drawing and an artist's drawing is the experience of knowing when to stop. A child will continue to add to the drawing (usually) and not know when to stop - an accomplished artist will know when additional mucking around won't improve the piece.

PS. It is a shot to be proud of...but I still don't like the selective colouring (personal preference) - the eye contact and expression alone are entirely sufficient.
