Hi

Please have a heart and help a newbie - how do i get a photo to come up above my name on the left hand side of this message - i can't find an 'add a photo to forum' option or even sub option - i'm obviously being dim but i'm fed up of being either siamese twins or a rather sinister black cut out figure from a shooting range, and not a photographic one at that !

OK, start by clicking your name, top right of this page, (next to signed in as)

1: Click the avatar tab.
2: Click the browse button.
3: Navigate to the pic you wish to use.
4: Click update, click save changes.

I've got 2 other questions for you if that's okay
1. What's an avatar ?
2. Do you like your Canon 30D ? I'm going to upgrade to a DSLR and am hesitating - the guy in the shop says Pentax K10D, but i've heard good things about the 30D. Any ideas ?

I thought the macro shots of the dragonfly and the hoverfly were brilliant.

Thanks for the comments.   Do I like my 30D?   Yes I love my 30D.   Best advice, don't listen to the guy in the shop, he'll sell anything he needs to .   Go try them in the shop, weigh up the features, make sure it has what you need , and make sure it feels good to hold.

Nah, you can't do that as all the technies wouldn't be able to wink at each other when people ask this question. Now if you were Hindu you wouldn't need to ask.

I have tried this method so many times. When I save changes it just says there is an error and can't do anything at this moment. It does this for all my instructions.
