Talking to the doctor today and hearing the lab reports indicate they excised all of the tumour. Smile [:)]

There can always be a remission, but for now she should be in the clear.

Great news indeed. Big Smile [:D]

    Good news Hevans. Smile [:)]

For myself, I left the mobile phone behind (I don't wear a wristwatch), and went for a wander with the Kiev 4. Upon returning, I found I'd lost track of time. To finish the day off, a kebab's been polished off, and is being followed by a few pints of guinness. Big Smile [:D]

    Reading this post...

    That made my day.

A couple of other trivial things...

    1. After literally years of messing around with a rowing machine off and on finally posting a time I wouldn't be embarrassed to see on the club wall. (Then I read about the 76 year old woman who racked up 1.5 MILLION metres in a month...) Oh and I'm still in the 75th percentile Sad [:(]

    2. Dropped into Smiths to research a shoot tomorrow and found I have a very nice 4 page spread in a magazine Big Smile [:D]

I think that tops everything - brilliant news.

    Plus....

I went to my daughters Graduation ceremony in Liverpool yesterday.

Every time I think about it today I get overcome with pride – a lump in the throat and silly inane grin on my face.

    Lovely Big Smile [:D]

My news i a triffle more trivial but i don't cair because its cheered me up. yesterday i went out and i picked up some games to play on my pc. so the bordom is removed. admittedly i can't win on them but still. also i found a fan in my brothers room which ive stolen making me not sweating just sitting in my room with the window open lol.

oh and my holiday to dublin is all booked now which is great. and i get payed tomorow. and the transformers film, birthday celebration of a friend and general getting drunkness draws ever closer......Big Smile [:D]

oh and also my best friends parents got back together after a number of years which is great news......

Re: What made you feel good today?

Today, I found the Kiev 4 has only one of the common faults that other plague other users, and its selenium meter is still functional.

For the unaware, selenium meters were commonplace, until battery powered meters took hold. Selenium meters also have a nasty habit of failing with age.

So, to celebrate, I've peeled open/uncorked my latest purchase... a bottle of Jacques Senaux Red Absinthe.

    Cheers. Big Smile [:D]Drinks [D]

Re: What made you feel good today?

I forgot to post this yesterday...

Yesterday was Max's gran's funeral. The 'wake' was taking place in the local Freemason's Lodge. This is a place my company has been attempting to get into for three years to read their three-phase electricity meters but there's never anyone there whenever we've called - and I've tried to get in myself for the past year alone.

I knew we were going there so I took my company ID with me and asked one of the staff where the meters were and went off and got the readings - which I had to write on the back of a paper plate! Smile [:)]

This morning I rang my boss to tell him what I'd done... He called me a cheeky bugger for doing it at a funeral and then gave me a pat on the back for using a bit of initiative and told me he'd stick an extra hours' overtime in my salary for it too!Big Smile [:D]
