    Hi Ken,

Obviously I don't exactly whereabout in Snowdonia you live but what about a Saturday night in Caernarfon? Not only do you have the street scenes, there's also still some pretty impressive architecture in and around the castle...

Good idea for a thread. I'm currently (and finally?) utilising my Flikr account for some I've done...

Sorry about no gallery, but some people seemed to not like me having a gallery.

    Hi Si,

Thanks for the comment,I have thought of doing some evening shots in Caernarfon but the only problem is the fact that I don't have any body guards(I kid you not) Late evening in the town is a deffinate no no.I am only about 3 miles from Carrnarfon on the Beddgelert road so it's only down the road for me.I might put my brave hat on and give it a go.

    Ken.

Re: STREET LIFE - Post your street life work here

I took this a few weeks ago, is it street?

Its a homeless guy called Steve, taken on the street but it got a little slated when I posted it in a street group on flickr as it wasn't deemed street

Re: STREET LIFE - Post your street life work here

Ok heres my attemps literally taken about an hour ago same shot one in B&W one in Colour apart from using the Kodak s/w to convert the colour image to B&W they are completely unedited.

Not sure about the colour or black and white argument really, although I think for Cafe shots then maybe B&W works better IMHO. Let me know what you think though

Hair Bear, this is fantastic work, I really like the harsh mono conversion here. It is street at the end of the day, lets not get too hung up about what 'perfectly' falls into this class and what doesn't.

I must say I've been out working today, just got back in and I'm overwhelmed by the fantastic work that's being posted, just great.

Bolton Dave - get your images copy / pasted into here for all to see from the other site, that's what I'm doing from my business site.

Dave B - superb street stuff mate, really great - I know this is an area that interests you and I'm still keen to meet up and hit Blackpool on a wet winters day if your up for it?

Have included one below from me to keep things going

The general attitude, from those that voiced their opinion was "If you don't like showing your photos, why have a gallery?" Namecalling didn't help with this. Finally, one user asking/instructing me to leave... that's what caused me to rethink.

But, I'll post a few into this thread...

All sounds good to me. I'd love to meet up ...but Blackpool? If you're thinking the odd tourist on the front or the arcades etc I think you've got the wrong place...It's hardly Scarborough. It's mainly large gangs of drunk hen and stag partys just looking to give 3 blokes with cameras a kicking.Big Smile [:D]

Re: STREET LIFE - Post your street life work here

Damn feel a bit left out stuck in a village in east anglia (maybe that's why my gallery is full of fields of lateBig Smile [:D]) and the kids don't give me chance to get into Cambridge at all at the minute!  Anyway here is one of mine from around a year ago at an indoor market in Budapest.  Have tried other stuff since but nothing has ever worked out quite how I want it!  Oh well just have to keep trying.

Re: STREET LIFE - Post your street life work here

lol... great stuff so far guys and really glad to see your work being posted on here Bolton Dave, glad your back mate, thought this may appeal as its most likely to be in the most part a mono rules area due to the medium. Keep putting stuff on for us all to enjoy.

Dave B - Have not been to Blackpool since I was a lad but can take on board the 'kicking' comment. Obviously having served in 3 minor wars over the years a group of drunken women is quite a worry...lol

Sure we'll work something out, would be good to meet up, with or without running shoes.

    Tim
