Well Peter uses my Old Sigma 100-300 that he won't let me buy back!

I use a Canon 100-400, I have also used the Sigma 50-500, loads of images on my site with all three lenses.

Wow, some SUPER sharp shots from you guys.  I was looking at a Sigma 300mm f2.8 the other day, looked a nice bit of kit.  But judging by these pics I'm wandering if a prime is really needed!

Some great images in this thread. Here are two of mine from my holiday last year. They are taken of and from the Bernina Express train, which travels from Tirano in the Italian Alps up into Switzerland. It's a spectacular journey. These are not great images technically as I found it challenging to take pictures while hanging out of a train window (but it was great fun trying). Hope you enjoy them.

More from the Sigma 100-300 f/4 HSM on my Nikon D70s; taken at the Goodwood Revival last year.  Sharpness is lost a bit due to compression and resizing for upload.
