This is the first time I've attempted to photograph aircraft at close range and so I was pretty pleased with the results. The location is London's City Airport where the runway runs the length of what used to be the huge wharf which accomodated the storage warehouses of the Royal Albert & King George V dock.
Pictured are the BAE146 type aircraft which are the main customers of the airport though there are also lots of ATR turboprops coming and going as well as exeuctive jets.
The exercise earned me my first 'stop and account' notice from the local bill which I was more than willing to cooperate with, especially as they were happy for me to continue once I had 'accounted' for my actions.
