    Concorde at Filton, from today.

Don't know if anyone else has been? They certainly rush you through and not very sympathetic to anyone taking anyhting more than snap-shots.

Hopefefully rescued this from one of a small number that I kept from the day.

    Re: Transportation- planes,boats and trains

Heres a boat I took during a weekend up in the Lake District recently.....

I'm still getting used to using my 'new' camera but loving every minute of it and it's good when some shots do come out OK. The sky on this one is a little over exposed and I could do with investing in my Photoshop skills I think for things like this.

There are some great pictures on these forums!

Good thread - some great pictures.  Boats are my favourite....

    Re: Transportation- planes,boats and trains

This is the first time I've attempted to photograph aircraft at close range and so I was pretty pleased with the results.  The location is London's City Airport where the runway runs the length of what used to be the huge wharf which accomodated the storage warehouses of the Royal Albert & King George V dock.

Pictured are the BAE146 type aircraft which are the main customers of the airport though there are also lots of ATR turboprops coming and going as well as exeuctive jets.

The exercise earned me my first 'stop and account' notice from the local bill which I was more than willing to cooperate with, especially as they were happy for me to continue once I had 'accounted' for my actions.

Clear evidence if it was needed that passengers' pursit of ever cheaper travel options is getting out of hand!

Nice shots Stevie, the scuffers will soon get used to you, they might even start bringing you the odd cup of tea, I've heard it goes on.

Some nice aircraft shots there. London City is a great location to try out aviation photography.

Moving on to trains ... This pic was taken at Westbury station, the editing was done in Picasa.

I took this pic at Darlington station in shutter speed priority. Both shots using Sony H7.

    Re: Transportation- planes,boats and trains

Only just managed to get round to processing rest of my Concorde at Filton images. After some playing around, thought B&W images were better with BA livery colours being displayed via masks?

Have redone two previous images from the day so some sort of theme is maintained - placed alongside earlier posts.

Concorde Cockpit. Two very rushed images taken to form a panorama. Excessive noise (more than from an Olympus engine] and loads of distortion! Hopefully made best job I could.

    n-hatton:

Good shots...but this one's a beauty!! Great composition and sky...Cracker.

edit: Seeing it larger I'd dodge the mid grey shines on the fuselage to really bring them out....just to give the shot that little extra wow factor.
